Fans Of THE BLACK CROWES 'Get Tall In The Rockies'
May 23, 2006Fans of THE BLACK CROWES from across the country are in for a treat this summer in the Rocky Mountains.
As a show of appreciation to their devoted fans, look for lucky winners (each with a guest) to be selected via contests on the band's official web site and at radio stations in 40 different cities for a major two-day experience that will mark the end of their upcoming headlining summer shed tour with special guests ROBERT RANDOLPH & THE FAMILY BAND AND DRIVE-BY TRUCKERS — a nine-week trek of free-spirited music launching June 10 in Seattle.
The festivities of the "Get Tall In The Rockies" contest include fans being flown into Denver, CO to check into the "Hotel Illness" for two nights, attend the tour's final stop at the Red Rocks Amphitheatre (August 12) and then experience a private "Brothers of a Feather" acoustic concert by Chris and Rich Robinson the following night at the Fox Theatre in Boulder. The recent "Brothers of a Feather" tour by Chris and Rich — which featured full-length acoustic sets for the first time in their career — was an overwhelming success, with each show selling out in minutes and generating critical acclaim.
The Boulder "Brothers of a Feather" special show is a sincere thank-you to the fans who've long supported THE BLACK CROWES. This marks the first time in the band's career whereby no tickets are being sold to the general public and fans are being flown in from around the country or personally invited to attend this special two-day party.
